Years ago, on a hot summer night in 1973, one man reached out to another who was on the brink of having his whole world crash down around him. A simple act of sharing the Gospel of Christ with a lost, hurting soul not only led that man out of darkness into Light; It was the beginning of a life led in service to share the Light with prisoners all over the world. When Tom Phillips gave a copy of C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity" to Chuck Colson, how could he have known that God would use that moment to spark a spiritual revival in the lives of the "least of these"?
The Colson Center has offered one copy of "Mere Christianity" as a gift to a reader of the "Jesus Says, 'Mine' blog". Just send me a comment here, on Facebook or Twitter if you're interested in being in a drawing for the book. Think of it as an early Christmas present. You can keep it and read it yourself, or share with someone who doesn't know Christ.
It's exciting to imagine what God might do with it...
Merry Christmas,
Rachel
